You’re not in the real estate business, you’re in the marketing business. Real estate is easy, it’s finding the buyers and sellers that’s hard. Think like a marketer who happens to be in real estate. Systems, you need systems, because most people throw spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks. And then lastly is this conversion, that’s where the rubber hits the road. It’s great people to take action, great people to say yes, great people to see your way of thinking. And those are the four pillars and I believe that anybody who’s serious must master those four pillars. And it’s virtually impossible to do that without having a proven model and somebody that’s an expert to help you with it.

Hoss Pratt: 0:23 Hey, I’m in Dallas, Texas today. Thanks for having me.
Jigar Poojara: 0:26 Oh, great. So now Hoss, I wanted to introduce you to my audience. Hoss is one of the bestselling author of the book called Listing Boss. Yep, that’s the one. And he’s also CEO and the founder of the company called Hoss Pratt Success System, which is actually the premier resource for the agents and the firms that want to you know, take their business to the next level. That’s an amazing story, Hoss. Would you like to say something more about what you do?
Hoss Pratt: 0:58 Yeah. Well, what I do is I have a real estate training, coaching, company. We provide coaching and systems with the main goal of helping real estate agents build better businesses as we do. So, you know, anybody that’s in real estate that’s wanting to successfully grow, a week with them with everything they need to get there.
Jigar Poojara: 1:18 Great. All right. So, Hoss, our topic today is “How to Get Anybody to Say Yes” in just seven minutes. And Mr. Pratt is going to tell us in just seven minutes. So, let’s start. I’m going to start the timer, Mr. Pratt, and Your time starts now. Question number one, who is your ideal clients?
Hoss Pratt: 1:42 My ideal client is any real estate entrepreneur that has a growth mindset, that wants to grow their business and get into the next level, that is willing to be coachable. And what my ideal client is, is that person who’s ambitious enough to follow our models and apply massive action with the right attitude. If we work with that person, it’s hard for us to fail. So, our ideal client is somebody that is ambitious, with the right mindset, is looking for the systems that, well, they get to apply massive action to.
Jigar Poojara: 2:14 Great. All right, we’ve got six minutes and 18 seconds. Question number two, what is the problem that you solve, generally?
Hoss Pratt: 2:23 The biggest problem that most people have is they don’t have a model to follow, right? They’re out there applying action, maybe some action, but they’re not following the right models. I mean, especially in real estate, there’s you know, 1000 different types of coaches, 1000 different types of ways to do it. And ideas and everybody go out there has an opinion. So, what we do is we, we write, I create, I wrote the book Listing Boss, and that’s what I do. I take complex things, I organized those thoughts into a simple plan, equip the right people to apply massive action to. That’s what we do is we give you the systems to go follow.
Jigar Poojara: 2:59 Amazing. Amazing. Great. So, Mr. Pratt, we’ve got five minutes, 30 seconds. Question number three, what are the typical symptoms people experience with this kind of problem when they try their own.
Hoss Pratt: 3:14 Time, you know, they waste so much time, like one of the most important things for anybody to consistently and certainly succeed is they got to find the right model and not reinvent it. If they’re reinventing it, the amount of time that it costs them. I mean, for me, I blew $50,000, my first six months in real estate. I’ve seen many people do that, you know, since then I’ve helped thousands of people generate millions of dollars in commissions. And it’s all about here, here’s what you’ve been looking for. Here’s the thing that works. Now you go do it. And if they don’t find that model, or they think that they could go recreate the model on their own, it’s a colossal mistake. Cost nothing but time and tons of money.
Jigar Poojara: 3:54 Okay. Great. We’ve got four minutes and 30 seconds.
Hoss Pratt: 4:00 I feel like I’m on a pitstop. This is great, you know.
Jigar Poojara: 4:02 Thank you. So, question number four, what are the common mistakes people generally make when they try to solve this kind of problem on their own? You say time, but is there any other thing that you think which is there?
Hoss Pratt: 4:16 Yeah. You know what, there’s four pillars that I believe that are the essential pillars, and its mindset, marketing, systems, and conversion. And you’ve got to start getting, you got to have the right mindset, you got to think the right way. So, for anybody new, they got to work on their mind, because the mind between the ears is what, it’s everything. Two is marketing. You’re not in the real estate business, you’re in the marketing business. Real estate is easy, it’s finding the buyers and sellers that’s hard. Think like a marketer who happens to be in real estate. Systems, you need systems, because most people throw spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks. They don’t have systems, it creates headache, it creates uncertainty, you got to have systems because you can’t manage people, you got to have systems to manage people.
Jigar Poojara: 5:20 You are absolutely right. We’ve got three minutes and nine seconds. Question number five, what is one valuable free action that the audience can implement and that will help them solve this kind of problem?
Hoss Pratt: 5:31 You know, one of the things that anybody needs to do is, number one is, you got to get a coach. Get a coach, but get the right coach, don’t get a coach just says, I’m a coach, I’m going to hold you accountable. You truly need to be equipped with systems. Few coaches and trainers have the ability to organize their thoughts and put it in a process and make it a number one system for you, very few do. Don’t ever hire coach that has not written a book. Don’t hire a coach who doesn’t have a product or courses. Because there’s a process that as an expert, that I had to go through, the greatest coaches have to go through. Once you know your stuff, and you organize your thoughts and you communicate it to where other people can replicate it, that’s the key. So, run from coaches and trainers that do not have best-selling books, don’t have a proven track record and their ability to organize their thoughts to help you.
Jigar Poojara: 6:23 Great. I agree with your thoughts. Thank you. Question number six, you’ve got two minutes. What is one valuable free resource that you can direct people that will further help them with this kind of problems?
Hoss Pratt: 6:37 You know what, I wrote a guide called the “Hoss Pratt Guide to Overcoming Objections”. I would like to give that to everybody if I could. It’s a free guide. I think it will help everybody, it’ll give you enough to whet your whistle and see what you’re missing to see what you need to do. And it’s the Hoss Pratt Guide to Overcoming Objections. So, you go to hossprattguide.com, it’s G-U-I-D-E dot com, go to Hoss Pratt guide, get it. And in there, you’re going to learn how to overcome objections, how to use objections in your favor. How to be able to make it impossible for people to tell you, No. And that’s an incredible guide I want to give to everybody today and they can get it at hossprattguide.com.
Jigar Poojara: 7:17 Great. Thank you. You’ve got one-minute left. What is the one question that I should have asked you, but I didn’t ask you?
Hoss Pratt: 7:26 That’s a great question. Off the top of my head, I would say, Hoss, what’s the most important thing for anybody, any advice to leave everybody that for them would make the greatest difference. And when it comes to leads, I’m just going to give it to you between the eyes, you got to start asking more questions. If you’re on the phone talking to get leads, what you need is to ask 10 questions to everyone comment. And that’s, what’s going to help you the most is by getting people in dialogue, finding common ground, building rapport, finding their pain, providing the solution to their pain, all that leads from asking questions. What I find is people don’t ask nearly enough questions. They’re always thinking about what to respond. So, asking question, shut up, and listen. And that would be my advice that I would leave everybody with.
Jigar Poojara: 8:12 All right. Thank you for joining this little podcast. Have a nice day.
Hoss Pratt: 8:16 You too. Thank you, guys.
